Dental hygiene refers to the practice of maintaining oral health and preventing dental problems through various procedures such as teeth cleaning, gum care, and oral health education.
Dental hygienists primarily focus on preventive oral care, such as teeth cleaning, education, and maintaining oral health. Dentists, on the other hand, are trained to diagnose, treat, and manage various dental conditions, including performing complex procedures.
One of our main goals at Dental Hygiene Express is to ensure that every visit is as comfortable and pleasant as possible for each patient. For this reason we offer a variety of desensitizers to best suit your needs: topical anaesthetic, local anaesthetic, needle-free anaesthetic (Oraqix), MI Paste, and Duraflor. Most importantly we will work with you and your comfort level.
Dental hygienists are trained to detect signs of dental problems, but they cannot diagnose dental conditions. If any issues are identified during your appointment, the hygienist may refer you to a dentist for further evaluation and treatment.
Nope – It’s all included in your regular fee structure (we follow the ADA Low Fee Guide). The best part is you can actually save money AND time by not having to travel to a clinic!
